Living Seeds Children’s Home is a Registered Non-Governmental Organization though registered as a Child Care Institution 18th May, 2020 with registration number CAC/IT/NO 146359, commenced full Operation in March, 2022. Living Seeds Children’s Home is a child focused social development organization that advocate adequate care and protection for children and young individuals in the Federal Capital Territory with a wide network of actors in the care giving industry covering the North Central Zone. Living Seeds Children’s Home is committed to the adequate welfare of children and also in collaboration with Regulatory Government Authorities, Local Host Community, Individuals, Groups, Organizations and Institutions as a way of synergizing to strengthen safety nets for vulnerable children and their families which would in turn have a multiplier effect of healthy development of all children who have lost parental care or who are at the verge of losing parental care.
Living Seeds Children’s Home takes full cognizance of United Nations Gate Keeping Principles of Necessity and Suitability in administering care. What this principle tries to prevent and protect is children being taking away from their parents or relatives for frivolous reasons and to also avoid inappropriate placement. Therefore every Child in Living Seeds Children’s Home is taking into care putting into consideration Unites Nations Gate Keeping Principles.
Our core aimis to see that every Child whom by virtue of circumstances has been written or would have faced a situation of being written off gain footing and have a common place in the society as every other Child would have.

First and foremost ascertain that any child that must be taking into care must have need for care. The point of emphases here is “must have need for care”. This cannot be compromised.

It’s our core duty to provide formal and informal education to the children in need but without help. This is where the board of trustees ensures intermittent performance reports are made available to sponsors or donors and the stipulated period to making available these reports is quarterly.
It is in our policy that our doors must be open for supervision by government authorized regulatory agencies such as the Ministry of Women Affairs, Social Welfare Department of the Social development Secretariat, etc. this policy propels every caregiver in Living Seeds Children Home to work in compliance with the Child Right Acts and stipulated guidelines.

Our Policy on Reunification - this policy is vehemently opposed to keeping any child in our shelter whose family can be traced. Field workers who are trained social workers are there to do their findings upon the discovery of a family member who is willing to take custody of the child without further delay the child is reunified to his/her family while the field worker at intervals check up on the child to ascertain if the child is okay and properly cared for and also brings his report of findings and also give advice on whatever his/her report points out.
Living Seeds Children’s Home is fully out to provide opportunities for needy children deprived of such possibilities through orphan and vulnerable care programs. Children and young adult living in slums has been immensely impacted from our program tagged:- EDUCATION MY ESCAPE ROUT FROM OBSCURITY TO PROMINENCE. We also advised and encourage our young adult to be skill and acquisition driven through our program tagged:- MY SKILL MY STRENGHT.
In Living Seeds Children Home, child development programs are implemented to instill in the minds of our children to be self reliant and also have the mindset of how they could give back to their country instead of waiting for what their country will give to them, these programs are also meant to address the issue of children constituting nuisance in the various communities where they hail from. Character development is also advocated for where every child is raised with the right morals and values so as to make them responsible citizens.
